Starting a new professional hearing care clinic is scary!
Valley Hearing opened on 5th July 2021 and is now in its 4th week as a new clinic providing professional hearing care in Caerphilly. Hearing tests, Hearing aids, Ear wax removal and hearing protection are all part of the services on offer. From setting up the clinic to building a sound enclosure its been a journey.
I had planned for a very slow, quiet start but the opposite happened, I had a very busy start with a fully booked diary. Starting your own business is tough and there is a lot to consider and a lot to worry about, but I am very proud of what has been achieved so far.
The planning stage is crucial and you need to do your homework. Don't just accept the first quotes you get and don't be afraid ask for a better deal. Build your business around the customer.
Lean on colleagues and others who may have already been on this journey, use your connections.
The best advice I can give to any new business is to look after your customers, they are your best advertisement, recommendation and repeat custom cannot be underestimated. Sit yourself literally in their chair and ask yourself what would you expect. I have been blessed with a number of 5 star reviews this early on, I am very grateful and it helps keep me focused on providing the best possible service to my customers.
